LeapXpert and Cisco team up to bring WhatsApp messaging to Webex
LeapXpert has launched a partnership with Cisco to integrate WhatsApp enterprise messaging into the Webex platform, aiming to bridge the gap between internal collaboration and external client communications. The collaboration targets businesses, particularly in financial services, where key conversations increasingly occur on consumer messaging channels like WhatsApp, iMessage, and Signal. LeapXpert's governance platform captures and archives these interactions in real time, transforming them into valuable business intelligence. The company works with hundreds of global enterprises and recently secured an $180 million growth investment led by Riverwood Capital.
The integration allows Webex users to message clients on WhatsApp without leaving the platform, with data loss prevention technology ensuring compliance. This capability is now available on the Webex App Hub, requiring a Leap Work account and a Webex license. LeapXpert plans to expand the integration to other messaging channels in the future. The partnership aligns with the broader shift in enterprise communications toward messaging, where AI and governance can unlock insights from unstructured conversations.
Webex, used by 95% of the Fortune 500 and 300,000 organizations worldwide, emphasizes its experience in government services with secure, customizable solutions. The Webex Contact Center Enterprise for Government platform offers expanded capabilities, including FedRAMP moderate authorization available in Autumn 2023. Cisco highlights the innovation brought by enterprise-grade cloud services that balance modern features with critical security requirements.
