Lenovo Leak Reveals Googlebook OS Name Ahead of New York Media Event
A new leak from Lenovo has revealed that Google's upcoming laptop operating system will be called 'Googlebook OS.'
This comes from a leaked product sheet obtained by The Mac Observer, which lists the software powering the Lenovo Googlebook 15 as simply 'Googlebook OS.'
The naming makes sense, given Google's tendency to use straightforward platform branding: ChromeOS runs on Chromebooks, Wear OS on smartwatches, and Google TV powers streaming dongles.
The leak also confirms other hardware details for the Lenovo Googlebook 15, including a 15.3-inch 120Hz OLED display, Intel Panther Lake Silicon, and memory and storage configurations featuring 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM alongside 256GB or 512GB of onboard storage.
