Libra Energy Materials Raises $725K in Strategic Financing for Québec Projects
Libra Energy Materials Inc., a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on critical minerals for the green energy transition, has secured $725,000 in financing. The Québec-led funding comes from institutional investors SIDEX and NQ Mining Investment through a strategic private placement of CMETC flow-through common shares.
The 5,000,000 shares will be priced at $0.145 each and are subject to a four-month-plus-one-day hold. The company expects the financing to close around September 29, 2026, pending Canadian Securities Exchange approval.
Proceeds from the financing will fund qualifying Canadian exploration expenditures on Libra's Québec projects, including its new flagship Cisco West and Obamska lithium assets in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region. The CMETC shares will also benefit from the federal Critical Mineral Exploration Tax Credit.
