Libyan Government Nears Launch of New National Airline with Boeing Partnership
The Libyan government has made significant progress in its partnership with Boeing to launch a new national airline. According to recent reports, Mustafa Al-Mana, Head of the Executive Team for the Prime Minister's Initiatives and Strategic Projects, held a virtual meeting with Boeing officials to review the project's development.
The meeting, which followed a series of face-to-face and virtual meetings since 2025, covered key aspects such as aircraft fleet, technical support, operations, and training. Representatives from Boeing included Keith Naida, Karim Freund, and Michael Castle.
The new airline, Libyan United Airlines (LUA), aims to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens and diversify revenue sources for the national economy. The project aligns with Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Aldabaiba's vision to develop Libya's aviation sector.
