Liebherr-Aerospace has signed a contract with Boeing to supply brake remote electronic units for the Boeing 777-8 Freighter. The unit acts as a data concentrator in the airplane's braking system and supports active brake monitoring.

The contract is a significant milestone for Liebherr, which began developing its remote electronic unit concept back in 2018. The company has worked closely with Boeing over the past decade to integrate its technology into the aircraft.

The brake remote electronic units are manufactured by Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH in Germany and comply with EASA and FAA regulations for latent failure detection.
