LinkedIn to Lose CEO Ryan Roslansky in 2026 Amid Microsoft Reorg
Microsoft's LinkedIn division is losing its CEO Ryan Roslansky in 2026 after nearly two decades. He will leave as Microsoft continues to reorganize around generative AI and Copilot, a platform that combines multiple productivity tools into one application.
Roslansky joined LinkedIn in 2009 as product chief and took over as CEO in 2020 after Jeff Weiner left the position. Under his leadership, LinkedIn's membership grew from 700 million to 1.3 billion users, with significant expansion of its advertising and subscription businesses.
Roslansky's decision to leave was influenced by Microsoft's need for him to be based full-time in Redmond, Washington, where the company is headquartered. However, he stated that his life and family are currently based in the Bay Area.
