Little Mermaid Ride Completely Concealed at Disney California Adventure

Disney's Little Mermaid-themed ride at Disney California Adventure Park has been completely concealed from public view as part of an ongoing refurbishment. The exterior of The Little Mermaid, Ariel’s Undersea Adventure was first covered in dark scrim fabric in early August, with more construction equipment appearing on site over the following weeks.

The scaffolding and plywood barriers have since been replaced with themed fabric matching the attraction's exterior, but almost the entire building is still concealed. Photos shared by Disney park guests show only a small section of the roof featuring King Triton's Trident visible above the scrim.

Despite the extensive construction, the ride remains open, and Disneyland Resort has not publicly addressed the ongoing facade refurbishment. The project likely involves repainting and other general maintenance, but no closures have been listed for the attraction on the park's official website.
