Löfbergs Appoints First-Ever Female CEO Amid European Expansion

Swedish coffee roaster Löfbergs has appointed its first-ever female CEO, Anneli Ellsäter. She joins the company on October 1st, replacing outgoing CEO Anders Fredriksson, who is leaving to take a role at local FMCG group Humble.

Ellsäter brings extensive experience in the industry, having spent five years as global vice-president at Flora Food Group and previously working for Procter & Gamble for nearly 14 years. Her appointment marks a significant milestone for Löfbergs, which has operated for over 120 years.

Löfbergs is a major coffee producer in Europe, with operations in several countries including the UK, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and the Baltic states. The company generates around 50% of its sales outside Sweden and is investing in Poland.
