Loftis Blasts Asha Sharma's Leadership Amid Xbox Layoffs

Former Microsoft executive Shannon Loftis has publicly criticized XBOX CEO Asha Sharma's leadership style after a recent round of layoffs at World's Edge, where she previously worked.

Loftis, who spent over 29 years at Microsoft and was a director at World's Edge, expressed her disappointment in a now-deleted social media post. She stated that the layoffs did not provide 'clarity' to those affected, particularly employees at World's Edge.

She also criticized Sharma for her seemingly inconsistent approach to management, pointing out that she had previously told the WSJ that 'clarity is kindness', but then proceeded with a half-layoff. Loftis joked that this was an example of 'Damocles' Sword as a form of clarity.'
