Long-Press Menu Rolls Out in Google Messages with Context-Aware Options
Google has rolled out its smarter long-press menu in Google Messages to all users. This feature was first tested several months ago, and it brings context-aware options right around selected messages.
The redesigned menu appears when you long-press a message in Google Messages, giving you options such as Reply, Forward, Copy, Star, Delete, Select more, and Info. For sent messages, an Edit option is available to correct typos or modify the message without sending a new one.
Photos also get their own set of actions when long-pressed, including Remix, which lets you edit, transform, or recreate the image. You can quickly save photos to your device using the Save option.
The copying feature has been improved as well, allowing you to select only the exact part of a message you want to copy by long-pressing on it and selecting the desired text.
