Long-Time Giant Announcer Mike Krukow Set for Emotional Farewell

San Francisco Giants' long-time announcer Mike Krukow is set to retire after three decades in the role. His final game will be on Sunday as the team hosts the Los Angeles Dodgers. Krukow has been dealing with inclusion-body myositis (IBM) for over 20 years, which made it difficult for him to travel to away games.

He announced his retirement last month and was honored by San Jose Sharks broadcasters Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda on Friday night. They presented Krukow with a signed Sharks jersey as a farewell gift.

Krukow has been using a motorized wheelchair due to his condition, which made it challenging for him to attend games outside of Oracle Park. He will be remembered for his contributions to the team and his dedication to the sport.
