Tommy Banfield, a devoted family man and outdoors enthusiast, passed away on September 2, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Berlin, Vermont, in 1937 to Sydney and Irma Banfield, he spent most of his life in the state.

Banfield worked at IBM as a department lead technician for 22 years, earning multiple suggestion awards during his tenure. He was also an active member of the IBM Club, serving as its president.

A passionate outdoorsman, Banfield enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and bowling. His family remembers him living by the motto 'I did it my way.'
