Longtime Coach Marc Cisco Leaves Lasting Legacy on Southeast Michigan Football Scene
Marc Cisco was a high school football coach in southeast Michigan for an astonishing 47 years. During that time, he led his Monroe Jefferson team to a remarkable 241 wins and even coached them to a Class B championship in the Pontiac Silverdome.
Cisco's teams were known for their consistency and ability to produce winners year after year. In fact, from the mid-1980s until the mid-2000s, Jefferson was a model of stability, with many teams winning multiple championships.
But Cisco wasn't just about wins, he was also about building relationships with his players and staff. Zeke, his son, played for him in high school and later became a coach himself at Byron Center. He remembered his father as a 'big teddy bear' who cared deeply about his team.
