'Love Hypothesis' Sequel Coming in 2027 as Film Adaptation Announced
Author Ali Hazelwood announced on Instagram that her sequel to 'The Love Hypothesis' will hit shelves in February 2027. The book, titled 'The Two-Body Problem', is a continuation of the story that made its debut as a New York Times bestseller and BookTok sensation in 2021. The original novel follows brainy graduate student Olive Smith who starts a fake relationship with Adam Carlsen, a fellow scientist and a notoriously harsh professor.
Hazelwood expressed her excitement to revisit the characters and storylines from the first book, which was recently adapted into a movie for Prime Video starring Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman. Although she notes that 'nothing is guaranteed', MRC is currently developing a film based on 'The Two-Body Problem' for Amazon MGM.
