Low-Income Spectrum Customers Get Free Amazon Prime

Spectrum Internet has rolled out a new perk for some low-income customers, offering them a free Amazon Prime membership. The benefit is available to eligible subscribers who qualify for enrollment in Spectrum Internet Assist, which provides affordable access to Spectrum Internet with speeds up to 50 Megabits per second.

The free Amazon Prime membership includes access to Prime Video, which offers original content such as 'Jack Reacher,' live sports events like Thursday Night Football and NBA games, and additional streaming perks. Normally, Amazon Prime costs $15 per month or $140 per year.

Spectrum's Chief Commercial Officer Adam Ray said in a statement that the company aims to provide customers with more value from their services. 'That value already includes the fastest mobile service at the lowest prices, and our inclusion of programming apps in our video services at no extra charge,' he said.
