Irish golfer Shane Lowry leads the Amgen Irish Open by four shots heading into the final round, thanks to a third-round score of 65. Lowry's impressive display on the greens saw him birdie five holes on the back nine, including crucial pars from difficult spots on each of the final three holes.

Playing partner Jacob Skob Olesen drew level with Lowry twice in the middle part of the round but failed to capitalize on his fine play tee-to-green. Lowry's putting has not always been a strength, but he one-putted every hole coming in, reminiscent of his 2019 Open win at Portrush.

Lowry spoke about what winning his second Irish title would mean: 'It's a big day for me tomorrow. I'm going out leading my home tournament and it would mean the world to me to knock this one off.'

Tom McKibbin is best of the Irish, sitting tied fourth on seven-under-par overall after a Saturday 68.
