Shane Lowry has made a significant leap up the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) ladder following his impressive performance in the Irish Open and BMW PGA Championship.

Lowry was ranked 53rd in the world before his victory at the Amgen Irish Open two weeks ago, which earned him a massive 32.75003 world ranking points and propelled him to 41st in the OWGR.

He continued his momentum with a solid finish at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, where he finished tied for 21st and collected another 2.52150 ranking points, moving up one more place to 40th in the world.

This significant turnaround sees Lowry climb 13 places in just two events, an impressive feat that has put him back inside the world's top 40.
