Lowry's Course Record Lead at Amgen Irish Open

Shane Lowry has taken a three-stroke lead at the Amgen Irish Open after shooting a course-record 62. This is his first winless season in years, but he's determined to turn things around. The Irish golfer made birdie at half the holes on Friday and set a new 18-hole course record at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel, Ireland.

Lowry's performance was impressive, with him making three birdies in a row from the third hole, including a 22-footer at the fourth. He added three more circles on the card in a row beginning at seven to make the turn in 30. Despite dropping his lone shot of the day at No. 13, Lowry's attack on par was relentless.

Rory McIlroy, the defending champion, struggled with his putting and is now tied for 20th after shooting a second straight 69. Haotong Li signed for 7-under 63 and made the cut in an Irish Open for the first time since 2015.
