A Lufthansa Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner's front nose gear collapsed while parked at Frankfurt Airport on Thursday afternoon, injuring several employees.

No passengers were onboard the aircraft when the incident occurred. The plane was being prepared for a flight to Los Angeles with only crew members and ground staff present.

The airline reported that 'the aircraft's nose gear unexpectedly retracted while it was parked.'

Taken to a hospital for medical treatment were two Lufthansa cabin crew members and other employees from service providers. The nature of their injuries has not been disclosed by the airline.
