Lufthansa Technik Extends Partnership with Japan Airlines on Boeing 787 Fleet

Lufthansa Technik has signed an extension of its partnership with Japan Airlines to support the airline's Boeing 787 fleet for at least five more years.

The renewal of their Total Component Support (TCS) agreement covers up to 67 Dreamliners, providing maintenance, reliability management, and logistics services for various components. The scope has been expanded through additional part-number coverage, allowing Japan Airlines to access a wider range of component support from Lufthansa Technik.

The partnership also includes a new contract for exclusive Boeing 787 GEnx-1B engine thrust reverser and inlet cowl support, which will be handled by Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen. This five-year agreement marks a milestone in the long-standing cooperation between LTS and Japan Airlines.
