Luxair Assures Fleet Safety Amid Ryanair Incident
Luxair has assured authorities that its fleet is safe after an incident involving a Ryanair Boeing 737-800 in Greece. The incident, which occurred on July 10, saw engine debris strike the aircraft, smashing a window and nearly pulling a passenger from the cabin.
The Luxembourg national airline carried out inspections of its own fleet following the event and found no further action was required. Luxair remains in regular contact with the Directorate of Civil Aviation and continues to monitor updates from European aviation authorities and manufacturers.
The airline is expecting to have up to 14 Boeing MAX aircraft by 2035, which it claims will be more efficient, quieter, more comfortable, and safer.
