Mac and Me: A Movie So Bad It's Now Famous for Its Product Placement

The Mac and Me movie is often cited as one of the worst films ever made. Released in the 80s, it's a blatant rip-off of E.T. the Extraterrestrial, with a plot that sounds like someone took the novelization and changed a few words.

The movie follows the story of Mac, a mysterious alien creature who befriends a young kid and is hunted by the FBI. However, what makes it different from its inspiration is the egregious product placement, particularly with McDonald's.

The film features a five-minute dance sequence with Ronald McDonald, which got him nominated for a Razzie. But the worst product placement is actually Coca-Cola, which is used to revive Mac's family when they're suffering from dehydration.
