Magic Kingdom's The Beak and Barrel Gets Barstools to Ease Congestion

For decades, Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World was the one park where guests could not purchase alcohol. The policy was intentional and aligned with Walt's vision for a place where the rules were different from the rest of the world.

In recent years, some table service restaurants within the park began to serve beer and wine, but patrons were not allowed to take their drinks outside the restaurant, preserving the dry atmosphere.

Last year, The Beak and Barrel opened in Adventureland, becoming the first true lounge at Magic Kingdom. This heavily themed space offered specialty drinks, including mocktails, and pirate-themed snacks. However, the bar area was initially standing-only, with guests facing a 45-minute time limit for their visit.

Recently, Disney added round barstools to the main bar at The Beak and Barrel, addressing one of the most common complaints about the space. While this change is seen as an improvement, it's essential to note that the 45-minute visit limit remains in effect, and guests cannot choose their seating area.
