Magnite Stocks Soar as Analysts Hike Price Targets Amid Google Ad-Tech Ruling
Magnite Inc.'s (MGNI) stock surged over 6% on Thursday as analysts raised their price targets following the Google ad-tech antitrust case ruling. StoneX analyst Daniel Kurnos increased his target to $43 from $33, while Craig-Hallum also boosted its target to $32 from $28.
Kurnos believes that Magnite will benefit significantly from the ruling, citing the central role of Prebid in the outcome. Prebid is an open-source technology that enables publishers to connect with competing advertising platforms, rather than relying solely on Google's ecosystem.
Craig-Hallum described the outcome as a 'major win' for independent ad tech, highlighting the 60-day implementation window and six-year technical monitoring period. The firm sees these measures as key positives for Magnite, preventing potential workarounds by Google.
With MGNI shares rising more than 57% this year, retail investor sentiment on Stocktwits was bullish amid high message volume. However, the long-term implications of the ruling and its impact on Magnite's performance remain to be seen.
