Make-A-Wish Kids Take Flight to Magic Kingdom
A group of 15 children with critical illnesses embarked on a Make-A-Wish trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The chartered flight departed from Philadelphia on Tuesday, September 15, after a celebratory airport sendoff.
The children were accompanied by their families and were treated to a joyful celebration at the gate before departure. Local fire department volunteers created a water rainbow over the plane as part of the surprise.
The five-day itinerary includes theme park visits, character meetups, and Disney fireworks. Jennifer Davis, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley, said the event was designed to uplift families during difficult times.
