Malaga Fire Station Reopens with Modernized Facility, Thanks to $1.5M Microsoft Investment

A new fire station in Malaga, Washington has reopened its doors after a major renovation. The revamped facility was made possible thanks to a $1.5 million contribution from Microsoft.

The updated fire station will improve emergency-response capabilities and provide a community resource space. Chief Jon Perry of the Wenatchee Valley Fire Department praised Microsoft's commitment to the Malaga area, saying 'Today's celebration is about the people and partnerships that make Malaga a strong community.'

The renovation was made possible through collaboration among the Wenatchee Valley Fire Department, local and regional partners, and Microsoft. The event was open to Malaga residents, public agencies, community organizations, and project partners.

Malaga's data center campus is part of a larger effort by Microsoft to support growing demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital services in the region. Navin Sathi, General Manager of Data Center Operations at Microsoft, said 'Our work in Central Washington extends beyond physical infrastructure. It is grounded in long-term relationships, local collaboration, and a commitment to contributing positively to the communities where we operate.'
