Man Accused of Arranging Microsoft Manager's Ambush to Face Trial

A man accused of arranging the ambush and murder of a Microsoft design manager in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, will stand trial on Monday. According to investigators, the victim, Jared Bridegan, was repeatedly shot while his two-year-old child sat in a car seat outside their vehicle in February 2022.

Authorities allege that Bridegan's ex-wife and her current husband were involved in a murder-for-hire scheme to kill him. A tire had been placed on the road as part of the plot, intended to distract and kill Bridegan.

The case has drawn attention due to its shocking nature and the involvement of a young child in the incident.
