Luigi Mangione has pleaded guilty to federal stalking charges in connection with the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Mangione admitted in court that he had been motivated by severe back pain, which he attributed to a past injury. He claimed that this led him to research UnitedHealth Group's investor conference and pose as an investor to attend.
