Mangione Pleads Guilty in Stalking Case Linked to UnitedHealthcare CEO Murder
Luigi Mangione has pleaded guilty to federal stalking charges in connection with the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
In a statement read in court, Mangione said he had been suffering from severe back pain after breaking his back and had researched UnitedHealth Group's investor conference to pose as an investor and attend.
The motive for the crime was reportedly prompted by Mangione's own experiences with back pain and his research into others who may be dealing with similar issues.
