Marty Sklar Archives Reveal Hidden Gems of Walt Disney Imagineering

A new book about Walt Disney Imagineering's history is now available for pre-order. The Marty Sklar Archives: Time Capsules of Walt Disney Imagineering, written by former President Bob Weis, will be released on April 13, 2027. This full-color coffee table book features archival material from Marty Sklar's personal desk, including memos, drawings, speeches, and artwork.

Weis worked with Sklar's widow Leah, as well as their children Leslie and Howard, to gather input from 90 former colleagues of Sklar's. The book includes a never-before-published manuscript about 'it's a small world' from 1963. This behind-the-scenes look at Walt Disney Imagineering over the decades provides readers with a unique perspective on the company's history.

The official synopsis describes Marty Sklar as a writer, editor, and leader of the Imagineers who dedicated his life to Disney's magic. After his passing in 2017, hundreds of boxes containing Sklar's papers were discovered, which are now being shared with readers through this book.
