McDonald's Bets Big on Turnaround Plan with $8.5 Billion Investment
McDonald's has unveiled its decade-long turnaround plan, dubbed 'Next', which aims to revamp its restaurants by introducing more touchscreen kiosks and AI tools. The company is investing a whopping $8.5 billion in this effort.
The announcement has not gone down well with investors, however, as McDonald's shares have fallen 5% since the news broke out, reaching their lowest level since 2022.
According to Executive Editor Joe Ciolli, the company is betting big on its latest strategy. However, it remains to be seen whether this plan will pay off for the fast-food giant.
