McDonald's India has responded to the suspension of its Colaba outlet's food business license by the Maharashtra FDA. The company stated that it follows rigorous food quality, safety, and hygiene standards.

In a statement, McDonald's India said it takes pride in maintaining high food safety standards and adheres to a 'zero-tolerance' approach towards food safety issues.

The FDA had suspended the license after an inspection found several food safety and hygiene violations, including pest infestation, poor temperature control, cockroaches, rotting food waste, and inadequate staff hygiene.
