McDonald's Ditches Longtime Ad Voice Dexter Fletcher for Stephen Graham
Dexter Fletcher, the English actor and director behind films like Rocketman and Eddie the Eagle, has been replaced as the voice of McDonald's adverts in the UK after two decades.
The change was made in April, with Stephen Graham stepping into the role. Graham, known for his work on This Is England and Netflix's Adolescence, brings a younger appeal to the brand.
Hannah Pain, marketing and menu director at McDonald's UK and Ireland, stated that the company is shifting towards a more contemporary approach, aiming for 'cultural credibility' and 'everyday warmth' in their advertising.
Fans of Fletcher have expressed disappointment on social media, with some feeling that Graham does not capture the essence of the brand. However, many are likely to warm up to Graham's presence on the adverts.
