The Boeing 787 aircraft has proven to be a game-changer for airlines operating in hot and high-altitude airports. Its composite build, powerful engines, and efficient wings allow it to carry full payloads where other planes struggle.
This is particularly evident at airports such as Bogotá (8,361 ft) and Mexico City (7,316 ft), where the 787's performance edge gives airlines a significant advantage. The plane's GEnx or Trent 1000 engines, high-aspect-ratio wings, and 50% composite airframe enable it to preserve thrust and lift in thin, hot air.
