McDonald's has replaced Dexter Fletcher as the voice of their UK adverts, sparking a mixed reaction from fans. The English actor and director had been the face - or rather voice - of McDonald's campaigns for 20 years.

Fletcher was recently replaced by fellow actor Stephen Graham in April. According to reports, McDonald's bosses made this change to forge a stronger connection with younger British consumers. Graham's instantly recognisable voice is said to retain a wide, cross-generational appeal throughout the UK.

Hannah Pain, marketing and menu director at McDonald's UK and Ireland, revealed that the company is shifting towards a more contemporary culture-led approach. Graham was selected due to his distinctive blend of 'cultural credibility' and 'everyday warmth', which resonates with genuine customer experiences.
