McDonald's Expands Power Deal with COREnergy in Philippines
COREnergy, a unit of Vivant Energy, has expanded its power supply deal with McDonald's Philippines to 23 more restaurants in the Visayas and Mindanao region.
The contract adds 2.2 megawatts of load across 10 stores in Central Visayas and 13 in Southern Mindanao, bringing the number of McDonald's outlets supplied by COREnergy to 59.
Electricity accounts for about 72% of McDonald's utility expenses.
'Behind every successful quick-service restaurant is an operation powered by reliable energy,' said COREnergy president Francis del Val, adding that cost predictability allows businesses to focus on expansion and customer service.
