McDonald's India Intern Demands Unpaid Salary After Hijacking Company's Social Media Account

McDonald's India is facing an internal crisis after one of its interns hijacked the company's X account to demand unpaid salary. The intern, who has not been named, claimed they had not received their pay since December 2025 and were forced to take on two additional jobs.

The posts on the X account alleged that the intern was responsible for managing several McDonald's Asian accounts in customer support and delivery while also trading memecoins. They stated that financial losses had left them struggling to eat.

Another post alleged that the intern had been unpaid since May, sparking a community response with some users offering support and others expressing skepticism about the situation.
