McDonald's Overhauls Value Strategy Amid US Sales Slump

McDonald's is revamping its value strategy in the US after experiencing its slowest growth in over a year. The company will work with franchisees to develop a 'longer-term' approach that appeals to budget-conscious diners, according to an internal message seen by Bloomberg News.

In the meantime, McDonald's is implementing a 'near-term bridge plan' featuring temporary items and digital offers focused on what's currently selling well. This includes offering a $2 breakfast sandwich on its app or free fries with a $1 minimum purchase.

The changes come as McDonald's struggles to revive sales in the US market. The company has been working to adapt to changing consumer preferences, including a growing demand for value and convenience.
