McDonald's Slumps to Four-Year Lows Amid Investor Day Concerns
McDonald's stock has fallen to four-year lows after a recent investor day event. The shares are down 5.4% at $234.88 and on track for their seventh consecutive weekly loss, marking the company's worst losing streak since July 2014.
The decline accelerated following the unveiling of an $8.5 billion franchisee support plan, which initially seemed to spook investors rather than alleviate concerns about soft traffic trends.
Before the investor day, several analysts had already reduced their price targets for McDonald's within the past week: UBS to $320, Citigroup to $310, and Morgan Stanley to $308. This indicates that expectations of a turnaround may be cooling down.
