McDonald's Target Price Slashed by Oppenheimer Analysts
Oppenheimer analysts have lowered their target price for McDonald's (NYSE:MCD) from $325 to $295. This decision comes as a result of various research notes issued to investors, with some firms maintaining 'outperform' ratings on the fast-food giant's stock.
The potential upside from McDonald's previous close is estimated at 22.67%. Other analysts have also made adjustments to their target prices for the company, including UBS Group, which set a $260 price target, and BTIG Research, which lowered its target from $350 to $295 and gave the stock a 'buy' rating.
Growth initiatives by McDonald's include hand-breaded and grilled chicken, protein-focused bowls and wraps aimed at attracting health-conscious consumers, as well as AI-enabled ordering and a potential advertising network. The company has also announced a nearly 4% dividend increase to support its appeal as a mature income investment.
Despite these efforts, management warned that elevated inflation and flat customer traffic could persist, raising concerns about the near-term outlook.
