McDonald's Tries Value Meals Revamp Amid Sales Decline
McDonald's (MCD) is revamping its value meals in an effort to boost sales, which have been declining. The company plans to introduce temporary items and digital offers focused on popular dishes, as well as targeted training for franchisees to improve customer experience.
The move comes after McDonald's reported a 0.8% increase in U.S. sales in Q2, its weakest result since the start of 2025. The company blamed inconsistent restaurant execution, overwhelmed crews, and lower satisfaction scores for the decline.
McDonald's is also looking to improve its value offering, citing the importance of 'compelling value' in bringing customers through its doors. The company's new U.S. head Skye Anderson will lead this effort, ahead of McDonald's investor day next week.
