McDonald's Unveils Ambitious Growth Plan Through 2030
Fast-food giant McDonald's has outlined its ambitious strategy to boost market share and profitability through 2030. As part of its 'McDonald's > NEXT' plan, the company aims to gain 1.5 percentage points in both chicken and beverage categories by 2030 while maintaining its position as leader in the beef market.
The plan focuses on four key areas: Menu > NEXT, Consumer > NEXT, Restaurant > NEXT, and People > NEXT. McDonald's expects to achieve significant efficiency gains through these initiatives, with a projected 250 basis points of gross restaurant-level efficiency gains across U.S. and International Operated Markets.
McDonald's will provide around $8.5 billion in total partnering support through 2036, including $5 billion by 2030, to help franchisees adapt to the changes. The company estimates that these investments will pay off within four years for franchisees.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Chris Kempczinski said, 'McDonald's has the unmatched scale, customer insights, brand loyalty, and operational capabilities to not only adapt to the next wave of change in our industry, but to turn it into an advantage.'
