McDonald's Unveils Ambitious Growth Strategy for 2030
McDonald's has outlined its ambitious growth strategy, dubbed 'McDonald's NEXT', which aims to drive market share and margin growth by 2030. The company plans to increase its market share in the chicken and beverage categories by 1.5 percentage points each, while maintaining its leadership position in beef. McDonald's also targets expanding its operating margin to a low-to-mid 50% range by 2030.
The strategy focuses on four key areas: Menu NEXT, Consumer NEXT, Restaurant NEXT, and People NEXT. The company expects to achieve around 250 basis points of gross restaurant-level efficiency gains as these elements are rolled out across the US and International Operated Markets. McDonald's will provide around $8.5 billion in total partnering support through 2036, including approximately $5 billion by 2030, through rent relief and capital support.
