McDonald's Unveils Global Strategy to Boost Food Quality and Service
McDonald's is overhauling its operations to provide better food quality, faster service, and more personalized experiences for customers. The fast-food chain has launched a new global strategy called 'McDonald's NEXT,' which focuses on four key areas: menus, customer relationships, restaurant operations, and employees.
The company aims to improve taste and quality while introducing innovations that drive customer preference. It also targets a 1.5 percentage point increase in its share of both the chicken and beverage categories by 2030, while maintaining its leadership position in beef.
McDonald's expects the changes to generate about 250 basis points of gross restaurant-level efficiency improvements once the NEXT elements are fully deployed. This is equivalent to roughly $100,000 in annual cash-flow benefits for the average US restaurant.
