McIlroy's Post-Tour Plans: Amgen Irish Open and a Short Break
Rory McIlroy is taking a short break from golf after completing his PGA Tour season at the $40m Tour Championship in Atlanta. The Masters champion finished fourth, sharing the spot with others after a final round where he was five strokes off the lead.
McIlroy admitted that his 'fuse' is shorter than it used to be, suggesting he won't spend more than three weeks on the road again. His next appearance will be at the Amgen Irish Open from September 9-13, followed by the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth a week later.
McIlroy's schedule indicates he'll take another extended break before teeing off at the DP World India Championship in October. He'll play the Australian Open at Kingston Heath and the Cathedral Invitational in December.
