MCU's Prestige TV Era Comes to an End
Marvel Studios is ending its six-year experiment in prestige television on Disney+, an era marked by high-budget shows like WandaVision and Loki.
The move, announced after VisionQuest's release in October, signals a shift towards more cost-effective storytelling options for the studio.
Disney+ had been calling for new content from its subsidiaries, including Marvel Studios, to fill the platform since its launch in 2019.
This led to the creation of interconnected television series alongside MCU films for the first time, an experiment that has lasted six years so far.
