Google Gemini Spark Gets Direct Access to Google Photos
Google is rolling out an update to its Gemini Spark personal agent that gives it direct access to Google Photos. With this integration, eligible users can manage their photo libraries using AI-driven tasks.
The features include searching and organizing photos and videos, curating collections, editing or enhancing images, creating albums and shared albums, and carrying out multi-step workflows. Gemini Spark can also use information found in images to perform actions across connected Google services.
For example, it can turn details from a concert flyer into a calendar appointment. The Photos integration supports complex, multi-stage workflows and recurring tasks, as confirmed by Google's own help page.
The feature is currently limited to eligible Gemini AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US, with English as the supported language. The rollout will take place gradually over the coming weeks.
