Thirteen students from Miami Dade College's Honors College have been awarded the prestigious Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship. The scholarship, sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and recognizing outstanding members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), provides recipients with a $1,000 award to help defray educational expenses.
The 2026 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship recipients are Alejandra Alberti Caraballo, Andrea Aponte, Karolay Alvarez, Gabriela Caballero Aguiar, Diego Guiu Santiago, Miguel Jazzan, Luciana Marcano Ramos, Nathalia Marcano Ramos, Joseph Musalan, Lis Perez, Laura Roca, Wedver Tombeau, and Nicolas Valino Hernandez.
The Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship was launched in 2001 to assist new PTK members in obtaining an associate degree and to encourage their participation in PTK programs. Scholars are selected based on academic excellence, community service, and leadership potential.
