Meiji Yasuda Cuts Apple Stake by Nearly 7% Amid Q2 Sell-Off
Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Co., a Tokyo-based life insurer, reduced its holdings in Apple Inc. by 6.9% during the second quarter of this year. According to its recent SEC filing, Meiji Yasuda sold 9,064 shares of Apple's stock, leaving it with 122,367 shares worth approximately $35 million.
This represents a significant reduction for Meiji Yasuda, which had held nearly 1.2% of Apple's outstanding shares. While Apple remains one of the insurer's largest holdings, Meiji Yasuda has shown some caution regarding its investment in the iPhone maker.
