Merck Expands Dairy Monitoring Tech to Include Bucket-Fed Calves

Merck Animal Health has expanded its SenseHub dairy monitoring technology to include bucket-fed preweaned calves. This upgrade allows producers and veterinarians to monitor individual animal behavior around the clock, regardless of feeding system.

The new capability uses the same software, ear tags, and LED light feature as for bottle-feeding, with no need for additional updates or activation steps.

According to Chase Milem, associate director of dairy monitoring at Merck Animal Health, this advancement extends actionable monitoring technology across more dairies and management needs.
